Dhanush is keen to strike it rich with his Polladhavan. The movie’s name is inspired by his father-in-law (Rajnikanth’s) earlier film. Speaking about the film, Dhanush says, “I play a boy next-door with dreams and aspirations to come up in life.

The problems that I encounter in realizing my mission are what the story is all about”. The movie is directed by debutant Vettrimaran and features Divya (Kuthu Fame Ramya) as the heroine. “Vettrimaran, who had worked as an associate to cinematographer - director Balu Mahendra is directing the film.

Divya plays my heroine. It is a romantic entertainer and we are planning for a release soon”. Polladhavan has cinematography by Velraj and editing by V T Vijayan. A major portion of the movie was shot in and around Chennai. Quick to deny that the movie would have no influence of Rajnikanth’s mega hit Polladhavan, Vettrimaran says, “It was indeed a joy to work with a hero like Dhanush for my debut venture itself. He was very co-operative. A director’s actor, Dhanush has come out with right expressions in the movie”. On Divya, he says, “She is an actress with abundant energy and talent.

She has done justice to her role”. “G V Prakash has come up with half-a-dozen peppy songs for the movie and is sure to top audio charts”, he adds. “A mix of action, romance and humour, Polladhavan is sure to rock the audience”, he says.

Vikram is thrilled with the completion of his much-awaited Bheema. It has been quite some time since his last film Maja was released.

Undeterred by the yawning gap, Vikram, says, “Bheema will more than make it up. It would be a treat for my fans, an out and out action-packed entertainer. I would rate it as the best films that I have worked so far. The storyline of director Lingusamy is pulsating.”

“It is an action film shot in a stylish manner. Underworld is just a part of the story. It is a mix of action, romance and sentiments. Lingusamy deserves unstinted praise for his hard work. It is a different film and I had to do rigorous workouts for over six hours everyday to do justice to the role”, he says.

Lingusamy, whose last venture Sandai Kozhi is a big success is confident of repeating the show in Bheema.

As the title suggests, the hero is brawny and brainy. He fights for a cause.

“We have shot song sequences in Switzerland, New Zealand and the famous Thirumalai Naicker Mahal in Madurai”, Says Lingusamy and adds, “The song we shot in Swiss would be a real highlight of the movie. The onscreen chemistry between Vikram and Trisha is worth a mention. With Sivaji releasing in May, plans are on to complete the post-production works of Bheema in the coming days to facilitate a release in June”.

Trisha, after Saamy, is back to play Vikram’s heroine.

“The movie would be a treat for action-buffs and surely Vikram fans, who had waited for over a year would be thrilled”, adds Lingusamy.

Quite appropriate to the title, the movie is being shot in and around Tiruchy with songs being shot abroad.

Priyamani, whose work in Paruthiveeran spoke volumes of her acting credentials, is paired with Vishal.

According to Boopathy Pandian, “The movie features Vishal as the happy-go-lucky man out on vacation in Tiruchy. Love is instant for him running into Priyamani. She has quite a handful of problems to be sorted out. With Vishal as her Man-Friday, Priya tides over a difficult situation”.

“Ashish Vidyarthi and Kannada actor Devaraj are the ‘bad elements’ in the movie. Important roles are earmarked for Mayilsamy, Manobala and Dhandapani”.

Mani Sharma’s musical score, in tune with the script, could well turn out to be the movie’s highlight.

Stunts (Kanal Kannan) and Vaithi (cinematography) are the other important names.

According to Vishal, “it is a racy commercial entertainer. Boopathy pandian has captured the events in such an interesting and gripping manner”.

“With my previous films proving to be a hit at the box office, I have taken utmost care to ensure that my performance in Malaikottai match the expectations of the masses”.

Priyamani is donning a glamour role in the movie. She appears in skimpy costumes for the song sequences. The rest of the team includes G Sasikumar (editing), Kalyan Shobi (dance director) and Na Muthukumar and Yugabharathi (lyrics).
